Mindfulness, take time to enjoy and be in the the moment

 

Watch the flames and try keep your mind in the present enjoying the sight, sound and heat from the fire

 

Try not to let your brain wander to the future - what you are going to cook for dinner, putting the washing on or wander back to the past. If your mind does wander and we all do, acknowledge the thought and tell yourself you will deal with that later and try to think back to the present

 

The more you practice mindfulness the easier it will become and you will find your moments of concentration on the present lasting longer

 

This can be done whether you are going for a walk or hoovering just try to stay in the present
