Where's the sun? We need our Vitamin D!

We need Vitamin D for healthy teeth, bones & muscles; improved resistance against certain diseases; reducing depression; regulating insulin and aiding weight loss

Winter sun doesn't have enough UVB for our bodies to be able to make Vitamin D from it, so we need it even more in winter from our food

Vitamin D rich foods include:

Salmon & other oily fish including canned tuna

Green leafy veg such as kale or spinach

Egg yolks

Red Meat & Mushrooms

Food is the best source of nutrients but if you feel you are not having enough Vitamin D, talk to your GP and they may recommend a supplement
