Compound exercises are winners you get 2 gains for the price of 1 pain!

Compound exercises are those that have more than 1 benefit so in the 'scissors' pictured below you are building core strength whilst also stretching your hamstrings (back of thighs)

At our retreat we predominantly, unless you have a specific injury or issue, use compound exercises, for instance if we were performing a tricep extension this could be done on 1 leg so your core has to work as do your muscles and brain that help you balance
